Laura continued to explain: ‘(for the first time ever abroad) I had a car accident as I was on the way to our first property…

‘Before anything is over dramatised, it was a minor incident and more importantly no one was hurt. However, I still felt pretty rubbish…

‘However, I think it’s important in life to always focus on the positive and whilst I felt rubbish, I had to keep smiling. I had to ensure my house hunters had the best time with me and lots of fun whilst we looked for their dream holiday home.’

Sharing detail on the episode they were filming, she added: ‘The search isn’t over yet but I think it’s been a successful one so far and we have certainly had a lot of laughs.’

After Laura explained the ups and downs of the week, many followers were quick to send their well wishes to the presenter.

‘So sorry to hear about your accident and really hope you’re ok,’ commented one follower to the post.

While another wrote: ‘It’s a horrible feeling but thankfully no-one was hurt. Great attitude.’

A Place In The Sun sees the show’s property experts help British couples who are looking to move from their home in dreary Britain for the sun, sea and sand abroad.

The social media update comes as Laura has been embracing single life after splitting from her husband Alex Goward last year, who she shares two children with.

She announced their shock split in May, taking to Instagram to post a picture of a framed message which read: ‘Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.’

Alongside it, she wrote: ‘This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.

Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time.’
