Ben Affleck-produced film Unstoppable starring wife Jennifer Lopez ‘SUSPENDS filming amid writers strike’

Filming for Jennifer Lopez’s movie Unstoppable stopped on Friday due to the ongoing writers strike.

Production on the wrestling drama flick — which stars the 53-year-old Maid In Manhattan actress — paused amid picketing by the Writers Guild of America, according to Deadline

It is unknown when the biopic — from her husband Ben Affleck’s indie production company with Matt Damon, Artists Equity — will resume filming but is expected to pick back up at the end of the strike at the very latest, the publication reported.

Just weeks before, the Jenny from the Block singer was spotted getting into character and showing off a plethora of fake tattoos while on set in Los Angeles as filming kicked off.

Since then, the strike — which was announced by WGA on May 1 — effectively shutdown their filming on Wednesday, and now production has wholly been suspended for the time being.

The movie tells the true story of the three-time All-American wrestler Anthony Robles — played by Jharrel Jerome —  as he prevailed and won a national championship at Arizona State despite being born with only one leg.

Oscar-winning Argo editor William Goldenberg will be making his feature film directorial debut with the movie.

The Hustler alum’s role in the film is currently unknown, and a release date has yet to be revealed.

Previously, Lopez and Affleck — who recently purchased a $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills together — met on the set of Gigli in 2002.

At the time, she was still married to her second husband, Cris Judd, before they called it quits and divorced in 2003.

The Bronx native and the two-time Academy winner, 50, started dating and got engaged shortly after, and in the following year, they starred opposite each other in the comedy drama Jersey Girl.

Unstoppable marks the first film the pair will both be working on in 20 years.

In January 2004, the couple called it quits before rekindling their romance many years later in 2021 following her split from former MLB player Alex Rodriguez.

In 2022, the pair got engaged again and subsequently tied the knot in Las Vegas in July.

Last August, the couple also held a second wedding ceremony at Affleck’s home in Riceboro, Georgia.

During Vogue’s 73 Questions interview at the end of last year, Lopez revealed she wanted to make a sequel to her and her husband’s film Gigli.
