Strictly’s Dianne Buswell has quipped that if people ‘value their marriages’ then they shouldn’t go on the BBC dancing show.
The dancer, 34, made the comment during a recent cameo appearance on TV comedy show Meet The Richardsons.
Dianne fell victim to the famous ‘curse’ herself when she met now-boyfriend Joe Sugg on the show and shortly after ended her relationship with former Emmerdale actor Anthony Quinlan.
Appearing on Meet The Richardsons, married comedians Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont discussed the possibility of appearing on Strictly.
In one of their latest episodes Lucy said she had been offered the chance to take part in the show.

Jon quickly told Lucy on the show: ‘If you value our marriage, then you’ll say no to Strictly.’
That’s when Dianne popped up on screen and said: ‘If she values her marriage, then maybe Strictly is not for her.’
It is not known if Dianne was simply joking or if Lucy has ever been offered to go on Strictly.
Dianne has previously revealed she doesn’t believe in the dreaded ‘curse’ at all.
In an interview with Heart Radio, she said: ‘Obviously we spend so many hours with our partners, but we’re professional dancers. We have done this our whole lives.
‘It’s normal for us. It doesn’t mean just because you spend so much time together you’re going to end up together. So yeah, I don’t believe in the Strictly curse at all.’
It comes after last month Dianne revealed the bad habits she has that boyfriend Joe finds hard to deal with, and even gives him ‘the ick.’
The star shared a candid glimpse into her romance with the YouTuber, 31, in an interview with Women’s Health Magazine.
Dianne explained to the publication that she is ‘extremely messy’ at home when she has a busy schedule, and at those times it is often up to Joe to pick up after her.

‘I leave the cupboard doors open all the time. Like I never shut it. It’s not even [just] cupboard doors – it’s any door! If I open it, it’s open for the whole day until Joe comes to shut it,’ she said, when asked what gives her beau ‘the ick.’
‘I’m extremely messy when I’m busy – not in general, but just when I have a busy lifestyle. [Joe] kind of runs around after me picking it up, being like: “Dianne, this is not where this is left”.’
Dianne also admitted that she has regularly broken items that she has borrowed from Joe and his sister Zoe, one such item was a metal marquee the make-up mogul and her boyfriend, Alfie Deyes, had lent to Dianne that bent and snapped because of strong winds.
Though Dianne did not upset Zoe by breaking the item, she insisted on buying them another, the dancer added: ‘It’s not the first thing that I’ve borrowed and broken from [them]. I always feel like it’s like I borrow things from Zoey and whatever I touch breaks!’
The interview came a few months after Dianne and Joe sparked split rumours when the professional dancer jetted off to see her family in Australia for Christmas without her boyfriend.
Dianne, who met Joe on the 2018 series of Strictly when they were dance partners, has since assured fans that they were still going strong and as loved-up as ever.
In March, the dancer confirmed she and Joe are ‘really happy’ and she even hinted that marriage could be on the cards, saying it would be ‘great’ if they tied the knot.
When asked about Joe popping the question, she told The Mirror: ‘We haven’t really spoken about it, so if it happens, great. If not, we’re happy with how things are going.’
Hitting back at the split rumours, Dianne went on to say that Joe doesn’t have to travel everywhere with her as she assured fans that all is well with them.
She said: ‘It makes me laugh that people think I wouldn’t go and see my family without Joe, it blows my mind.
‘He knows I don’t live anywhere near my family, so if there is any chance I can go to see them… he doesn’t have to come with me everywhere.’
Fans were worried the couple had parted ways when Dianne went to Australia to see her family for Christmas while Joe had his own holiday with his friends.
The dancer, who has been with Joe for over four years, then broke her silence on the speculation in January and insisted she was still happily loved-up.
She told The Sun of the rumours: ‘It comes from a good place, but I go home and see my family and don’t even worry about anything that’s being said.

‘I try not to look because it’s very rare I get to see my family so I want to go and make the most of it and that’s what I did.’
Dianne and Joe began dating back in late 2018 when they were partnered on Strictly Come Dancing.
They came in runners up behind documentary maker Stacey Dooley and her professional partner Kevin Clifton in the 2018 show.
The couple confirmed they were living together in August 2019 and bought their house together in February 2021.
