Universal Citrus-Vegetable Shot Recipe

These are drinks of all colors of the rainbow with a high concentration of benefits that can be alternated on different days. From vegetables, you can use any – carrots, beets, Chinese cabbage, and greens. And to give the drink a more pronounced taste, add a little sourness with the help of citrus fruits.

Number 1 – beetroot with lemon

  • 1 beetroot (if possible, with leaves);
  • 1 lemon;
  • 1 apple.

Number 2 – carrot with turmeric

  • 3 sweet carrots;
  • 1 lemon;
  • A piece of ginger root measuring 1 cm;
  • ½ tsp turmeric.

Number 3 – Chinese cabbage with lime

  • 200 g cabbage (can be replaced with spinach);
  • 1 lime;
  • 1 kiwi;
  • Sprigs of parsley or mint;
  • 2 sticks of celery.

Number 4 – ginger with lemon

  • A piece of ginger root measuring 4 cm;
  • 1 lemon;
  • Cayenne pepper to taste;
  • A few tablespoons of water.

You don’t have to peel the ginger to make vitamin shots, because many of the nutrients in it are located directly in the peel or next to it. Just like the white part of the citrus peel – although it is bitter, it contains a lot of useful things at the same time.

All 4 drinks are prepared according to the following instructions:

  • Peel the fruits, and remove the core from the apples.
  • Mix all ingredients until smooth in a blender.
  • If necessary, add a couple of tablespoons of water.
  • Strain through a sieve.

Carrot fresh with blueberries

  • 1 large sweet carrot;
  • A glass of frozen blueberries;
  • 100 ml of water.

Step-by-step preparation:

  • Peel the carrots, cut them into pieces, and chop them in a blender.
  • Add blueberries, and water and pass through a blender again.
  • Strain through a sieve.

You can complement the carrot-blueberry flavor with cinnamon and half a teaspoon of honey.

Strawberry Grapefruit Mint Cocktail

  • 250 g strawberries (you can take frozen);
  • 1 large grapefruit;
  • A small piece of ginger root;
  • A few leaves of fresh mint;
  • 200 ml of water.

How to cook:

  • Peel grapefruit, and wash strawberries. Cut everything into pieces.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix in a blender.
  • If desired, a little natural vanilla can be added to the drink.

Cucumber Lime Cocktail

  • 2 cucumbers;
  • 1 lime;
  • A few parsley leaves;
  • 100 ml of water.


  • Cut the cucumber into slices, and squeeze the juice from the lime.
  • Add parsley leaves and grind everything in a blender.
  • Add water and mix again with a blender.

  • 3 oranges;
  • 2 limes;
  • 3 tangerines;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 1 large apple;

How to cook:

Viburnum and marjoram cocktail

  • 2 glasses of frozen viburnum;
  • 5 st. l. dried marjoram;
  • 1 st. l. honey.

How to cook:

  • Pour marjoram with hot water and leave for 20 minutes.
  • Place viburnum in a saucepan and crush a little with a fork. Pour boiling water over and leave for 10 minutes.
  • Strain and mix the resulting mixture. Add honey and enjoy.

Favorite tea with cranberries and nuts

  • 200 g frozen cranberries;
  • 1 apple;
  • ⅓ cup walnuts;
  • Honey to taste;
  • 200 ml of water;
  • A cup of your favorite tea.

Cooking step by step:

  • Grind nuts in a blender.
  • Cut apples into pieces. Mix cranberries with honey.
  • Put everything in a saucepan, pour boiling water, and bring to a boil.
  • As soon as it boils – turn off the heat, leave for 20 minutes. and pour it into a glass bottle.

The drink should be stored in the refrigerator and added to your favorite tea in the morning and/or evening.
