I’m A Celebrity star Nick Cummins reveals shocking weight loss after 14 days in the African jungle

Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins was put through the wringer on his 14 day stint in the South African jungle before being voted out on Thursday.

Now the I’m A Celebrity star, 35, has revealed he lost a staggering amount of weight in the short period he was in the camp due to the lack of food.

He said he dropped a shocking eight kilograms because he couldn’t keep up with the calorie intake his muscular physique needed, reported news.com.au on Friday.

‘Mate, first thing I did when I got out was strap the feed bag on, and got about a kilo of shepherd’s pie in. Then had a couple of beers, and now things are good,’ he said.

‘If I don’t do weights, I lose weight really quick. The jungle weights aren’t that heavy – and besides, it’s more about survival in there with the calorie intake.’

He went on to say he did his best to conserve the few calories he received from rice, beans and oats by not going too hard on the gym equipment.

‘You can actually feel it during the day, eating your muscles and eating your body. It’s not nice,’ he added.

He was sent home after receiving the least votes from the public in a shocking twist.

‘I’m genuinely surprised Nick’s leaving us tonight. He was a real trouper in the trials & loved by his camp mates,’ one person Tweeted.

‘Nick has been a really great person to watch in the jungle such a happy guy, true to himself,’ another person said.

A third commented: ‘The fact that Badger went before Domenica [Calarco] is beyond me. I’ve lost faith in humanity.’
