Chris Eubank launched a furious rant after Paul Gascoigne told a very crude story during Sunday’s series premiere of Channel 4’s Scared Of The Dark.

The former footballer, 55, had recounted an X-rated tale about ‘relieving’ himself in the toilet after meeting the late Margaret Thatcher at 10 Downing Street in 1990.

And while all the other contestants burst into fits of giggles, an enraged Chris berated Paul before going wild in a confessional.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player had teased a ‘sexy story’ before admitting, ‘I may get myself into trouble here but when I went to 10 Downing Street, I put my arm around Maggie Thatcher.

‘Oh, god almighty, I felt myself getting hard and I thought, “Quick, I better just release this.” So I just quickly went to the toilet and just whacked one out.’

‘Horny bit just come on out of us and I wasn’t going to walk with a boner on so I just quickly…’

Visibly unimpressed, Chris responded, ‘It’s so unfortunate that it’s probably true. OK, so let’s lift up the the octave or the class. Let’s lift it up.

‘What you’ve done there, Paul, is that’s your pub talk, man. That’s not for here.’

Realising the room had fallen silent, he added, ‘But then maybe I’m killing the party. Yeah, so do what you want. I’m very tired. I need to sleep.’

In a piece-to-camera, Chris later said: ‘I don’t know Gazza. And I don’t want to know Gazza. Because that’s drinking. That’s all that muck.

‘He’s brazen. He’ll drink you underneath the table. He is a legend that is not legendary. What’s legendary is Paul. Paul and what he did.

‘He was a superstar in football. I want to know Paul. He’s a beautiful man.’

Britain’s first woman PM had invited the troubled star and the England squad to Downing Street after their performance at that summer’s World Cup in Italy where they lost on penalties to West Germany in the semi-final.

But Paul wasn’t the only star the boxer came to blows with, as he scolded Love Island’s Chloe Burrows for swearing before going on a spiel about the universe and knowing her in his past life.

Chloe was the first into the bunker where she met Chris – but they didn’t seem to hit it off right away as he told her off for swearing.

As she walked into the room where Chris was sat on the sofa, he said, ‘Hey,’ and Chloe immediately squeals, exclaiming: ‘What the f***! Is someone in here?’

Chris told her his name, and as she tried to make her way around the room, she swore again.

‘Did you just swear?’ Chris asked, before scolding her to say: ‘Language, yeah?’ and she quickly apologised as she found the sofa.

‘Are you scared of the dark? I’m terrified of the dark,’ Chloe told Chris. He replied: ‘No, what is there to be afraid of? Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy…

‘I’m going to tell you this – you’re wonderful, you’re amazing, you’re a cosmic being, when you compare yourself to the galaxies they are huge and unexplainable in terms of size.

‘You are a universe, that’s how wonderful you are. We are long lost pals, and I have found you again Chloe whatever, whoever you were in my last one.’

Chloe, seemingly perplexed, said: ‘That’s sweet that,’ and Chris told her: ‘It’s true.’

Chloe later recalled the bizarre first run-in with the boxer: ‘I feel a bit bad, I probably rolled my eyes but there was too much going on for me to have this wisdom being put onto me…

‘It was quite a deep chat. Surreal is the word I would use.’

Eight contestants live, eat and sleep in the dark in the programme, hosted by Danny Dyer. It runs over five nights until Thursday.

The star-studded line-up taking part includes The Wanted’s Max George, Scarlett Moffatt, boxer Nicola Adams, Paul Gascoigne, Chris  MacCausland and actress Donna Preston.

Danny Dyer will host the bizarre new series after getting the gig following his EastEnders’ exit on Christmas Day last year.

The actor, 45, admitted himself the show is a strange concept.

He said ‘This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things.

‘Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off – it’s proper good telly.’

Angry: In a piece-to-camera, Chris later said: 'I don't know Gazza. And I don't want to know Gazza. Because that's drinking. That's all that muck'
