Sharna Burgess was a guest on the Not So Hollywood podcast this week and she opened up about her and boyfriend Brian Austin Green’s co-parenting relationship with Megan Fox.
The 37-year-old Dancing With The Stars professional – who attended the iHeartRadio Music Awards last month – called the trio’s dynamic ‘great.’
‘Honestly, the relationship is great. We’re actually all going to Universal [Studios] today. All together, which is amazing for the kids,’ she gushed to host Adrianna Costa.
Brian, 49, and Megan, 36, share three sons: Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6. Sharna and Brian welcomed 10-month-old son Zane last year. The actor also shares a son Kassius, 21, with ex Vanessa Marcil.
The mother-of-one explained, ‘The reason it’s great is because the focus is the kids. There’s nothing else that needs to be considered other than making this a beautiful, healthy, whole environment for them.’

‘People try to protect kids from divorce as much as they can so that they’re not affected, but the truth is they’re going to be affected,’ she admitted.
‘So you can only choose that there’s a positive effect or a negative effect.’
The blonde beauty, who began dating Austin Green in late 2020, stated, ‘For [the kids], representation matters.’
She emphasized that although ‘mommy and daddy aren’t together anymore’ the children need to see that ‘they still get along really well.’
Burgess, who hails from Australia, named communication, mutual respect, and love as some of the values the three adults strive to teach their brood.
‘There’s this weird, archaic idea that exes can’t be friends and that co-parenting has to be hard,’ the influencer noted on the podcast.
She praised Brian and Megan’s relationship as she shared, ‘They have worked so hard to make it a positive effect on the kids, to make sure everything is smooth, and loving, and kind always for them.’
In February the Beverly Hills 90210 alum took to Instagram to credit his ex-wife Megan while bashing former partner Vanessa.

It began when the 54-year-old actress answered a fan’s inquiry about whether co-parenting has been difficult.
Taking to her Instagram Stories she replied, ‘We didn’t and don’t co-parent. I raised my son alone.’
Brian refuted her statement as he screenshot the post and wrote, ‘Megan and I [busted] our a**es to give Kass a well-rounded childhood [because] his mom was rarely there.’
He began the post by stating, ‘So, I can’t tell you how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+ year old woman on social media like she is still in high school.’
The disgruntled father-of-five continued, ‘She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk.’
Austin Green and Fox met while working together in 2004 and they married in 2010.
The former couple then split for good in May 2020, after numerous breakups throughout their marriage.
Megan filed for divorce for the second and final time in November 2020.
The blue-eyed bombshell moved on with her Midnight in the Switchgrass costar Machine Gun Kelly.
The two became engaged in January 2022 and although they reportedly took a break earlier this year, they reunited for a beach vacation at the beginning of April.
Last October Brian took to Instagram to pay tribute to Sharna on their two-year anniversary.

Sharing a carousel of intimate family photos, he captioned, ‘October 16th 2 years ago was a day like any other day, but I made plans to meet someone new for coffee.
‘My god am I thankful every single day for that. You are a light in my life, our kids lives, and the most amazing person I have ever met.
‘The life that we have created and continue to create is better than anything I ever thought was possible :)) I love you.’
Burgess replied in the comments, ‘I love you baby, this is so beautiful. 2 years ago all my dreams came true, I just didn’t know it yet. Now I do.’
