PR guru Kelly Cutrone is known for her steely demeanour and take-no-prisoners approach to business.
But the former MTV star claims she was once reduced to tears by Andy Cohen while working on her reality series Kell On Earth in 2010.
During a recent appearance on The Leah McSweeney Show, the 57-year-old said the drama started while she was filming the short-lived Bravo show.
Kelly claimed ‘nobody [at Bravo] cared’ about her show because they were focused on Sarah Jessica Parker’s competition series Work of Art at the time.
‘Nobody cared, nobody came to the set, nobody,’ she said.
Kelly Cutrone revealed on The Leah McSweeney Show that Andy Cohen once made her cry
The former MTV star claims she was once reduced to tears by Cohen (pictured) while working on her reality series Kell On Earth in 2010
Towards the end of shooting Kell On Earth, Kelly said she was offered her own show on MTV.
At the time, she had been simultaneously filming The Hills and The City for MTV and Kell On Earth for Bravo.
‘I was like, “Thank God”,’ Kelly said of receiving the offer from MTV.
‘It was like being happily married and then f**king your friend and finding out he’s not that good in bed and you want to go back and f**k your husband.’
‘I wanted to go back to MTV,’ she added. ‘I’m ready to be out of it.’
Cutrone told McSweeney that Andy berated her over the phone and told her to ‘be positive’ about Bravo
Kelly then claimed she attended a Bravo event at a hotel for the premiere of Kell On Earth and Cohen was there.
According to Cutrone, Cohen had emailed her representation and management and claimed she had been ‘talking s**t’ about Bravo.
‘She’s against Bravo, she’s talking s**t against Bravo,’ Cohen’s email allegedly said, according to Cutrone.
‘I was like, “What?” And then [Andy] called my hotel room saying, “You are against Bravo! You are not allowed to come downstairs unless you agree to be positive!”
‘And I was crying. I literally was upset, because I was so confused. It was such a struggle to do that show and they had hired people that didn’t know f**k all about producing a show…’
‘She’s against Bravo, she’s talking s**t against Bravo,’ Cohen allegedly wrote in an email to Cutrone’s manager
Ironically, Cutrone was known for penning the New York Times Bestseller, If You Have to Cry, Go Outside.
She added: ‘Andy Cohen is, whatever. I think he’s just like a pimp. Are you allowed to say the word pimp? Some kind of pop culture pimp.’
Former RHONY star McSweeney, who is currently starring in season three of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip which airs on Bravo’s sister streaming network Peacock, chuckled awkwardly.
‘I mean, I can’t say anything about it,’ Leah said nervously. ‘Okay, uh, speak your truth. I’m not here to censor anybody.
‘You know when you’re like, in something, and you’re not far removed enough to create your own opinion yet because you’re like, “What the f**k just happened?” That’s where I’m at.’
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Cohen’s rep for comment, while a source at Bravo said the incident ‘doesn’t sound likely’.
