Arnold Schwarzenegger schools critics who accuse him of taking a private jet to his annual Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative conference

Arnold Schwarzenegger defended his stance on climate change and got the chance to school some of his detractors on social media.

It began Sunday when the 75-year-old actor and activist whose life is explored in the new Netflix documentary Arnold, posted a photo of himself on board a flight headed to Vienna for his annual Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative summit.

‘En route to @ArnoldSCI for this year’s summit in Vienna,’ he wrote on social media next to the snap as he looked comfortable in what appeared to be a first class seat.

Climate change deniers quickly responded to the post.

‘There is no climate emergency and all the private jets prove they all know it,’ one commented on Twitter.

The strongman politely responded.

‘This is a commercial flight – I truly hope you don’t go around making things up to be angry about all the time. I don’t want you to be that miserable.’

Another detractor made a similar comment, asking, ‘How much do you get paid to promote the hoax?’

This time, the Terminator star used reason in his retort.

‘Please don’t make things up to be angry about,’ he said, ‘Just be logical.’

He then asked a couple of questions of his own.

‘If anyone is paying people off to change how they talk about pollution, who has more money than oil companies? Are you acting anti-establishment while you do the bidding of a bunch of rich fossil fuel execs?’

The action hero kept his cool when he was called a hypocrite for allegedly traveling in a private jet.

‘So that private jet of yours… running on solar power, huh? It’s the hypocrisy that’s pissing people off. Get it?’

‘Once again. This is a Lufthansa commercial flight,’ the Kindergarten Cop star replied.

He then offered some advice.

‘Before you spend all day on Twitter looking for fake reasons to be mad, spend a few minutes looking in the mirror and figuring out the real reason you’re upset. Work on it. Do the reps. Be uncomfortable. One day you’ll thank me.’
