Girl with the dragon tattoo! Billie Eilish offers a VERY rare glimpse at dramatic inking on her hip as she flashes her stomach and belly piercing in a cheeky Instagram video
- The Bad Guy singer posted an uncharacteristically candid selfie to her Instagram
- Billie has been candid over the years about her body image issues, telling Vogue earlier this year that she ‘felt like her body was gaslighting her for years’
- The pop star got her ink at some point between 2019 and 2020, while she’s sported the belly bling since her teens
Billie Eilish gave fans a very rare glimpse of a large dragon tattoo on her right hip on Thursday, posting a slinky selfie video in which she could be seen showing off her midriff in a form-fitting crop top.
The Bad Guy songstress, 21, showed off a silver navel piercing as well.
Both the all-black tat and the belly bling have stayed largely hidden from the public thanks to the pop star’s well-known preference for baggy sweatshirts and oversized tees.
A single eye-rolling emoji as the caption echoed the print on her shirt: the iconic cherub, gazing upwards with his chin in hand, as seen in Renaissance painter Raphael’s masterpiece Sistine Madonna work.

Vanessa Hudgens succinctly stated her ‘Hot’ take in the comments
In the roughly 4-second clip, the Grammar winner appeared to be in a dressing room somewhere as she pouted for the camera while slowly sliding down into a chair.
‘Hot,’ as Vanessa Hudgens put it succinctly in the comments.
Billie’s post was particularly notable given she’d seemingly swore that the tat would stay under-wraps in a 2020 interview with Vanity Fair.
While admitting VF that she’d gotten new ink at some point over the year prior, she then added, ‘you won’t ever see it.’
But it wasn’t long before she’d apparently changed her tune on the matter, as demonstrated by the photo she shared of herself in September 2021 at that month’s Met Gala.
The billowing, burgundy Oscar de la Renta number she’d donned at the starry event featured a leg slit, making visible the lower part of the ornate tat on her upper thigh.
As for her navel piercing, a Billie posted a Snapchat around mid-2018 showing off a stud in her belly button, indicating that she’s been sporting the body jewelry since she was at least 16 years old.
In California, her home state, persons under 18 years old are permitted to get any body piercing (beside in the ‘nipples or genitals’) with a parent or legal guardian present.
It’s no secret that Billie has tended toward loose-fitting, oversized tops in the past

Billie has long sported colorful, baggy sweatshirts both on- and off-stage
Billie’s latest selfie video suggests that she is embracing a more confident stance about her body image – having been open about her struggles with her appearance for years now.
In January of this year, the singer candidly admitted that she ‘hated herself’ during her teenage years, explaining that her ‘anger towards her body’ caused her a huge amount of ‘pain’.
‘Going through my teenage years of hating myself and all that stupid s**t,’ she said during an interview with Vogue.
‘A lot of it came from my anger towards my body, and how mad I was at how much pain it’s caused me, and what I’ve lost because of things that happened to it…
‘I felt like my body was gaslighting me for years. I had to go through a process of being like, my body is actually me. And it’s not out to get me.’
Billie’s uncharacteristically skin-baring selfie comes just weeks after word got out that she’d split up with now-ex-boyfriend, The Neighborhood frontman Jesse Rutherford, 31.
The duo began dating around October 2022 and went Instagram official in November.
It’s estimated the pair had initially met sometime around 2017, when Billie was just 15 years old, causing many of her fans to express discomfort with the now-former-couple’s nearly 11-year age difference.
