The Guardians of the Galaxy actor and his co-stars have closed out the popular franchise on a high note.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 debuted at the top of the box office May 5 and maintained its lead over the Mother’s Day weekend.

So far, the film has pulled in almost $530 million.

The nine-time Oscar nominee voices the character of Rocket the Racoon in the film and he admitted he got emotional when he learned about the feisty fighter’s origin story.

‘I watched a cut of it a while ago,’ he told Entertainment Tonight at the film’s premiere, ‘and I cried pretty hard… I mean it’s pretty hard core for little Rocket, he went through a lot.’

The BAFTA winner said his portrayal of Rocket is behind most of the requests for autographs he receives.

During the interview, Bradley expressed his admiration for the film’s writer and director James Gunn, who has been signed to direct the upcoming Superman: Legacy.

However, the Screen Actors Guild Award winner has reportedly turned down an offer to portray bad guy Lex Luthor, according to a so-called insider at the Twitter handle My Time to Shine Hello, responding to another rumor the director had spoken to a member of the Guardians cast.
