Chaos on I’m a Celebrity as stars are busted sneaking contraband into the jungle – as Dicko cheekily compares the banned items to drugs

The stars of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! were busted bringing in contraband items on the show on Wednesday.

The contestants were caught sneaking in lollies and a Kit Kat to snack on while in camp and were quickly forced to binge on the sugary items before they would be taken away.

In one hilarious scene, the campmates had a feeding frenzy over the snacks, while former Australian Idol judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson jokingly compared the items to drugs.

He said the contestants would pull out the banded treats in the early hours of the morning to hide them from producers.

‘The first few days of this camp has at times resembled an inner city nightclub at three in the morning,’ Dicko said in a piece to camera.

‘Everyone’s been going around saying, ”Do you want some?” Sprinkling a bit here. Having a dab in here. Drop a bit of that in there… Honestly, it’s been so sneaky… I’m just amazed that we were spotted.’

Peter Helliar added: ‘I had a feeling this moment was coming, but it has descended into a frenzy. It was like the Boxing Day sales.’

After being caught with the goods, producers gave them a note which was read out by Liz Ellis.

‘You have either two minutes to consume or surrender every single item,’ it read.

The contestants then decided to eat the treats rather than surrender them.

Also on the show on Wednesday, Kerri-Anne Kennerley sent fans into a frenzy when she opted out of a filthy challenge

The TV star, 69, caught the ire of viewers on social media after she refused to partake in a lost property challenge, leaving Below Deck’s Aesha Scott to compete solo.

The challenge involved stars searching for a number of items in several filthy – and at times exploding – portaloos.

Twitter erupted in anger and backlash after Kerri-Anne turned her nose up at the challenge, with some calling her out for being a diva.

‘Yep. Sick of KAK already. Not sure why Channel Ten wanted her on the show so badly and even more so not sure why she agreed – she’s way too diva,’ one wrote.

‘Get rid of Kerri-Anne she makes me sick always complaining. P*ss her off,’ added another.

‘It’s quite evident KAK is not there for anything but money. She is certainly not there for her chosen charity, or as I suspected, a bit of reputation rehabilitation,’ another said.

‘I just used all 10 of my votes on KAK because she doesn’t deserve a moment of peace,’ quipped one more.

Kerri-Anne flatly refused to partake in the disgusting trial on Wednesday.

‘No, I am not getting sprayed with sewage and maggots and lice. No. I’d rather play golf,’ she told hosts Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris.
