Dakota Fanning enjoyed some down time on Saturday as she was spotted leaving the new Chanel store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

The actress, 29, looked effortlessly chic in a summery white top and a matching maxi skirt.

She completed the look with a pair of white sandals and shielded her eyes from the sun with black shades. 

Dakota opted for a light palette of makeup as she showed off her natural beauty during the outing, while her blonde locks were styled straight. 

It comes after Dakota signed on to star in the upcoming thriller feature The Watchers.

The news about the actress was revealed on Wednesday, and the movie will also serve as Ishana Night Shyamalan’s directorial debut, according to Deadline .

The I Am Sam actress, who will also appear in the upcoming action feature The Equalizer 3, is set to start working on the film in the coming months.

The Watchers will be adapted from A.M. Shine’s novel of the same name, which was published in 2021.

The movie will be centered on an artist named Mina, who finds herself lost in a forest located in western Ireland.

The character then becomes trapped with three strangers who are the subjects of nightly stalking from various creatures.

Ishana’s father, M. Night Shyamalan, will serve as one of The Watcher’s executive producers.

In addition to helming the feature, the filmmaker also adapted its screenplay from the novel.

Development on The Watchers was previously revealed to the public in February, when Deadline announced that the rights to the movie had been won by New Line.

The media outlet reported the project had been the subject of a bidding war.

New Line Cinema’s President and Chief Creative Officer, Richard Brener, provided a statement to express his enthusiasm about the forthcoming feature.

‘We couldn’t be more excited to make Ishana’s first film with The Watchers. Equal parts visual, immersive, and terrifying, the script grips you from the first page and never lets go,’ he said.

Physical production on The Watchers is currently scheduled to commence this summer.

The upcoming movie is also expected to be released on June 7, 2024.

Fanning will appear alongside Denzel Washington in The Equalizer 3, in which the actor is set to reprise his longstanding role as Robert McCall.

The actress signed on to appear in the feature last June, and she will costar with performers such as David Denman, Sonia Ben Ammar and Remo Girone.

The action-thriller movie’s trailer premiered on Tuesday, and it will debut in theaters on September 1.
