Dominic West and his wife Catherine FitzGerald attended the Chelsea Flower Show at The Royal Hospital in London, on Monday. 

The actor, 53, and the landscape designer, 52, put on a loved-up display at the outdoor event, just two-and-a-half years after their relationship was rocked by a scandal.

Dominic looked typically dapper in a tailored blue suit, which he teamed with a light blue checked open-collared shirt.

Catherine commanded attention in a jazzy, floral embroidered cardigan and black knee-length dress, worn with tan coloured ankle boots. 

Their marriage hung by a thread when Dominic was pictured kissing actress Lily James, 34, during a holiday to Rome, Italy in October 2020.

Dominic surprised onlookers in 2020 when he was pictured passionately kissing actress Lily James during a romantic, mid-pandemic break in Rome, shortly after international travel restrictions were lifted.

The duo didn’t seem to mind who saw them as they cuddled up to one another and shared a ride on a scooter while taking in the sights throughout the day.

The Crown star was still married to Catherine and no split had been publicly announced – but he was not wearing his wedding ring.

After the pictures of Dominic and Lily emerged, the actor gave waiting reporters a surprisingly wooden performance as they gathered outside the sprawling Cotswolds home he shares with his wife Catherine and their children.

The shell-shocked mother-of-four had clutched a tissue in her hand as she gingerly stepped out of the marital home in Chippenham, Wiltshire with her husband by her side, hiding her ring finger in her jeans pocket.

The couple bizarrely decided to display a piece of paper bearing the handwritten message: ‘Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you.’

Catherine later broke her silence to assure MailOnline that their marriage was safe, telling reporters: ‘We’re fine, thank you very much, yes we are. Things are OK between us. We don’t need any advice from anyone, thank you.’

Dominic and Catherine confirmed during a red carpet appearance for The Crown series five in November 2022, that their relationship was back on track after two years of uncertainty as they posed side-by-side with their family at the event. 

The couple married in June 2010 after reuniting following their university romance and have four children together; Dora, 17, Senan, 15, Francis, 14, and Christabel, 11.

The actor also has another daughter Martha, 25, with former girlfriend, aristocrat, Polly Astor, 51.
