EMILY PRESCOTT: Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood wants it painted pink at his new Maida Vale pad… with colourful walls inspired by his twin six-year-old daughters
Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood wants it painted… pink?
The rock star, 75, and wife Sally – who have been working on their Maida Vale home – have opted for some colourful interiors inspired by their six-year-old twin daughters Gracie and Alice.
TV and film producer Sally, 45, tells me: ‘We asked the twins [pictured right with their mum] to pick a colour for the kitchen and that’s the colour they chose. So, we painted the kitchen pink, and that pink was also used in the pink room.’
Telling me they also have purple carpets, Sally says: ‘The house is full of colour, from the walls, to the carpets, to the paintings to the furniture. Ronnie’s an artist and I’m very creative, so between us we’ll just give something a go.
‘Colour cheers you up and puts you in a good mood. It’s positive and gives you more energy. Bring on colour!’

Edo’s ski lift for Andrew
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Princess Beatrice attend the Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park last year
Prince Andrew had to sell his Alpine chalet a few months ago, so I wonder if his son-in-law Edo Mapelli Mozzi, pictured left with wife Princess Beatrice, might be lending him a pad for future ski trips?
Edo’s property company Banda has just bought a luxury chalet it describes as a ‘living space where neutral, soft materials celebrate the incredible view’.
The lodge, which comes complete with a marble fireplace and designer Danish furniture, could be the ideal spot for the Prince – who sold his Swiss chalet in Verbier for £19 million – to head for to write that much-rumoured memoir.
Is posh London sports club the Hurlingham about to elect a new Royal patron?
My spies tells me some members at the £1,800-a-year establishment are growing impatient that two years after the death of previous patron Prince Philip, the position is still vacant and want Prince Edward or the Princess of Wales to take over.
Kate often takes Prince George and Princess Charlotte there for tennis lessons, while Real Tennis fan Prince Edward will win the vote of members who want to see the specialist sport better represented at the club.
Philip once caused quite a stir at the Fulham club, arriving in the 42-acre grounds in a helicopter. His downdraft caused some members’ panama hats to blow away!
Gordon Ramsay with daughter Megan, 24
He is a celebrity chef, but it seems Gordon Ramsay’s children are more concerned with protecting the nation than knocking up a recipe.
His son Jack joined the Royal Marines two years ago and now Gordon, 55, reveals his daughter Megan, 24, has joined the Metropolitan Police.
Megan, right with her dad, has a degree in psychology. Dad better control his potty mouth from now on – she might have him arrested!
