‘Don’t even bother trying!’ Emmerdale fans brand cheating Mack ‘delusional’ as he vows to win Charity back after fathering a child with Chloe

His marriage has been presumed over after his cheating was revealing.

And Emmerdale fans were in agreement that there’s no hope of reconciliation for Mackenzie Boyd and Charity Dingle, despite his vows to win her back.

After it was finally revealed that he had fathered a child with Chloe Harris, Mack was thrown out of the house by his devastated wife Charity.

But in Wednesday’s episode, Mack vowed that despite his one night stand he was determined to win Charity back, insisting he wouldn’t rest until she put her wedding ring back on.

Fans were not convinced, with many in agreement that thanks to his web of lies, there was little chance Charity was going to forgive him.

It comes after Emmerdale fans were delighted to finally see Charity give husband Mackenzie Boyd the boot during Monday’s episode after he fathered a secret baby with Chloe Harris.

A seething Charity (Emma Atkins) paid Mack (Lawrence Robb) a visit at home where she gave him her wedding ring back in a final blow to their relationship.

After placing the gold jewellery in his hand, she told Mack: ‘I was doing some decluttering… Laters, yeah?

‘I mean, I say that, truth is I never want to see you again.’

While viewers of the ITV soap are keenly waiting to see what’s next in store for Mack, others insisted Charity missed a trick with the wedding ring, saying she should have pawned the item off and pocketed the cash.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: ‘Don’t give him the ring Charity! Gold is selling for nearly £19 a gram now!’

Another viewer posted: ‘Charity, what did you give him that ring back for? You could’ve pawned that. For maybe a quid.’

While someone else shared: ‘Disappointed with Charity, she should’ve sold her wedding ring.’

Meanwhile, another viewer tweeted: ‘Such a good ep. All about the fallout and proper consequences. Loved Charity, too. On top form.’

Predicting what could be next for Mack, someone else wrote: ‘So now Mack and Chloe and the baby can go and live together as a little family. This would kill Charity.’

‘Hope Mackenzie leaves now. Wet wipe of a character,’ remarked someone else.

While another person posted: ‘Most of the villagers want revenge served with a cold beer and a packet of stale crisps.’

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
