Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown responded to claims she faked romance with ex beau Jordan Odofin – saying she doesn’t need a man for fame.

The Love Island star, 25, admitted she is now living her best single life and has lots of guys sliding into her DMs.

The model started dating former co-star Jordan after leaving the villa – but the two were quick to go separate ways just after a few weeks.

Fans accused the pair of ‘faking’ their relationship but Zara hit back to the false claims saying they had nothing to lose in getting to know each other.

The TV personality said they found each other very attractive at the time and they never forced anything.

‘What a lovely boy, I can’t fault Jordan – we were dating and like when you just realise that there is not that romantic spark but it’s all good, we’re friends.’

Zara added her and Jordan, 28, are in great terms and want the best for each other and they had no reason to ‘fake’ anything.

‘It wasn’t fake – I heard that rumour. Someone said he said that, he never said that. Why would we fake it? We have nothing to fake,’ she said.

The model went on saying she was grateful the pair shared an experience together as they couldn’t meet in the villa before, but it just wasn’t meant to be.

But it appears Zara has a lot on her plate as she admitted she is living her best life as a single woman – and has a lot of hot single guys bombing her DMs.

‘I few eligible bachelors in the DMs but I’m focusing on myself right now, yes some famous people – but that was my life before, I had guys in my DMs before so that’s nothing new for me,’ she said. 

Although the Love Island star was quick to remark she is not charmed by the ‘blue tick’ but she is rather into the ‘personality’ and ‘heart’.

Just last month Zara took to her Instagram story to update her fans on her exclusive romance with Jordan.

‘Hey everyone, Jordan and I would like to acknowledge the increasing public support for us to be seen as an exclusive couple.

‘After a few dates since leaving the villa, we know that we definitely get along and enjoy each other’s company.

‘It’s been two and a half weeks of getting to know each other, and for now it’s a fun friendship between us.

‘We have a lot of respect for each other and that’s what matters.’

Zara entered the villa during day three and locked in with Tom Clare – but was later dumped as he chose Ellie Spencer over her.

Earlier this year Zara confessed she wished Jordan was in the villa when she was in there so they could get to know each other at the time – remarking she’s grateful the pair crossed path despite not working out.

It comes after Zara has reignited her long-standing feud with Olivia Hawkins.

In an interview on Tuesday, she dealt a bitter blow by saying ‘I’ve got good vibes with everyone else [on the show] but I feel like Olivia’s been the recurring issue.’

The model also told The Sun she has ‘nothing left to say’ to the fellow islander, 27, after falling out on the ITV2 dating show.

During the current series, the pair got off on the wrong foot after they both had their eyes on Tom Clare and came to blows several times.

Zara had previously said she felt ‘lonely and isolated’ in the villa amid her feud with the ring girl.

The reality star claimed no-one else really cared that she was upset and that the other girls only comforted Olivia.

The reality star also said: ‘We’ve all cleared the air now but obviously you’re not going to get on with everyone.

‘I have nothing to say to Olivia anymore to be honest, we saw her at the last event and it’s very much cold.

‘Everyone else I love, I’ve got good vibes with everyone else but I feel like she’s been the recurring issue personally.’
