On Thursday night, Lewis was in very esteemed company in Melbourne as he went out for dinner with former US president Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.

The trio enjoyed a meal in a private upstairs room in Embla and the F1 champion’s parents also attended the very special dinner date.

The politician’s security detail occupied ‘most of the bottom floor’ according to The Herald Sun, and the restaurant was closed down especially for their visit.

Obama ordered the broccoli bisque and a lamb main course, along with a vodka martini.

Michelle chose wine for her beverage, and the American dignitaries opted not to order dessert.
