In December, it was reported that Gemma and her famous father are set to star in a reality show
The pair are said to be in ‘advanced talks’ over the new Kardashians-style show, which is set to be released in 2023, and which would give viewers an insight into Owen family life.
Gemma lives in a lavish £4 million family home in Chester with her famous dad Michael, mum Louise Bonsall, and three siblings Emily May, 14, Jessica, 12, and James Michael, 16.
‘There can be a stigma when you do a show like Love Island,’ Gemma told The Times.
‘But there are amazing opportunities too if you can just be yourself. I wanted to do it, but only if I could just be me: plain-spoken and real. I am good at not showing my feelings if I have to.’
The Owens’ show will likely follow the teenage businesswoman training for international dressage competition, according to The Sun.
Gemma added: ‘I got to watch up close how my dad handled things when football finished. Normal and grounded is good. Success can quickly change or fade. Family, friends and, for me, horses, are for ever.’
It comes following news in September that Gemma was reportedly being lined up to star in a new show about the lives of footballers’ daughters.

An insider told The Sun of the potential series: ‘This is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.
‘Lime is developing the concept now and ITV has shown a real interest in it. Gemma is top of their casting wish list.’
Gemma finished second on Love Island alongside her ex Luca Bish, 23. The pair announced their split last month – three months after missing out on being crowned Love Island winners.
Gemma then confirmed their split with a statement shared to her Instagram stories on Wednesday evening, saying it ‘wasn’t an easy decision.’
