Married At First Sight star celebrates two years since her last alcoholic drink: ‘I don’t need alcohol or drugs to disassociate’
Married At First Sight star Natasha Spencer has marked two years of sobriety.
Natasha, who appeared on season seven of the reality show, offered a poignant but hopeful message in an Instagram post.
‘Two years ago today I had my last alcoholic drink. But it was never about the one drink for me,’ she began.
Natasha went on to say her partying would lead to ‘missed commitments’ and ‘dangerous situations’ for the reality star.
She explained it took her ‘six months of trying,’ before getting completely sober adding that you’re never too far gone to make a change.

‘I had replaced real friends with party friends, and dated the absolute worst people because that’s was what I thought I deserved,’ she wrote.
‘Sobriety is an act of self love and I never thought I would be here, but I thank the universe that I am.’
Natasha added she has a healthy marriage, her emotions are stable and she has a ‘healthy connection with herself’ for the first time in her life.
The star opted for a highly personal message under a photo of herself relaxing in a swimsuit
‘I don’t need alcohol or drugs to disassociate. I love being present in every moment of this life I’ve created with Gary Green,’ she added, speaking of her husband.
She went on to praise her husband, Gary, who she married after appearing on the Nine reality show.
‘GG no words will ever be enough to tell you how grateful I am that you’ve been by my side,’ she added.
‘Thank you for always coming to my rescue, thank you for seeing me, knowing I deserved better and helping me to know the same.’
