Dixie D’Amelio was taken to the hospital by ambulance on Thursday after she felt ‘faint’ and ‘dehydrated’ while preparing for her footwear brand launch in West Hollywood.
Sources told TMZ that the 21-year-old TikTok star – who was spotted at a Lakers game in March – had been working in the late afternoon when she started to feel ‘faint’ and, in an abundance of caution, ‘an ambulance was called to take her to a hospital.’
The social media sensation was seen wearing a gray Calvin Klein sports bra under a black sweatshirt as she was treated for dehydration by medical personnel.
Her bleach blonde hair was pushed off her face with a thick black headband as she rested on a gurney.
The fire department had also been dispatched to Sunset Plaza ‘for a possible seizure.’

Appearing with a yellow disposable mask over her face, she wrote back, ‘got too excited about the shoe launch.’

Speaking with ET, Charli spoke further about the footwear range.
‘Tonight is about celebrating everything the entire D’Amelio Footwear team did to make these shoes come to life, and it’s a very exciting night for us — our first D’Amelio brand’s brand,’ she stated.
She added, ‘I think that it’s just so exciting for everyone, and I’m very happy to see everyone in the shoes.’
Dixie, Charli, and their mom Heidi collaborated to create the collection, along with designer Lauren DiCicco, who has also worked with Jessica Simpson.
The new brand offers a variety of styles including sneakers, heels, boots, and sandals.
Before the health scare, Dixie had appeared on her social media channels to count down the hours until the shoes officially launched.
She had taken a close-up selfie and added a link to the brand’s website, penning in the caption, ‘one hour.’
The star then filmed herself as she told the camera, ‘The shoes have officially dropped.’
In her right hand, Dixie held a pair of $99 Karyenaa black pumps from the brand.
In another photo she wore a pair of loose-fitting black jeans with a yellow stripe on each side, along with a matching denim jacket.
She only added a black triangle bikini top underneath and wore her brand’s $189 black Camdon boots while posing outdoors.

In an interview with L’Officiel, Charli, Dixie, and Heidi expressed, ‘We have been extremely involved from the early inception of this project.
‘Starting from the name to the designs and even down to the packaging. We wanted to ensure that the shoes were something we would wear, but that they were also really comfortable.’
They added, ‘It was also so important to us that we try to keep the quality, while producing the shoes at a lower price point so it’s more attainable for our audience.’
When it came to differences in creativity, the trio explained, ‘We don’t always agree, but that is the fun part of working together. It’s fun to jokingly and constructively argue about our different styles and preferences, even down to the best colors.’
