Selena Gomez graciously stopped to pose for selfies with fans while dashing around Paris after dark this weekend.

The 30-year-old pop act is thought to be in town to shoot the musical crime comedy Emilia Perez, directed by the acclaimed French filmmaker Jacques Audiard.

But on Saturday she indulged in a night on the town, stepping out to dinner wrapped in a glistening black leather overcoat.

After she emerged from the restaurant she came upon some of her admirers and warmly cuddled up to one of them for a picture.

She pulled a dramatic pout for one of the selfies, accentuating features she had already sharpened with heavy makeup.

Emilia Perez stars the transgender telenovela star Karla Sofia Gascón, who first shot to fame as Carlos Gascón before a transition that played out in the headlines.

Karla plays a notorious Mexican cartel kingpin who finds himself fleeing the authorities and decides to get the sex change he wanted for years.

Near the beginning of the year a report in Variety revealed the film was slated to begin principal photography near Paris in the springtime.

The boldface names in the cast include not only Selena but also Zoe Saldana, a mainstay of the Avatar franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Despite possibly being in town for work, however, Selena has been able to snatch away some personal time to enjoy the sights of the city as well.

Selena was spotted Friday in the star-studded audience of Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, which had alighted on the Stade de France that evening.

Famous figures ranging from Kris Jenner to Lenny Kravitz to Natalie Portman were all glimpsed in attendance at the concert.

Selena’s personal life has been a source of constant speculation this year, with rumors attaching her to such names as Zayn Malik and Andrew Taggart.

However by the beginning of this month Andrew was spotted leaving a VIP party in Miami hand in hand with a leggy mystery woman who towered over him.

Meanwhile when the conjecture about Selena and Zayn began to swirl in March, a source told Page Six that the pair previously had a brief dalliance a decade ago.

The insider claimed that Zayn and Selena briefly had a ‘thing’ while her close friend Taylor Swift was dating his One Direction bandmate Harry Styles.

Taylor and Harry embarked on a whirlwind romance from late 2012 until January 2013, after which she wrote multiple songs that were thought to be about him.

Also in March an old red carpet video from 2010 resurfaced in which Selena was asked which One Direction member she would kiss and she giggled: ‘Zayn.’
