Shameless star Emmy Rossum shares rare pictures of her newborn son, one month, and two-year-old daughter…after talking about having ‘3 A.M. pumping chats’ with pal Hilary Swank
Emmy Rossum is bonding with her newborn son, less than a month after welcoming him to the world.
The Shameless alum, 36, shared a sweet snap to her Instagram Stories on Sunday of her holding her second child with husband Sam Esmail, 45.
Her hair was naturally curly and she was gorgeous and makeup-free behind a filter that added a smattering of freckles across her nose and cheeks.
The Beautiful Creatures actress never announced nor confirmed her pregnancy and shocked fans when she announced his surprise birth.
‘On a foggy Wednesday morning, our son was born,’ she wrote on April 6.

The Poseidon star also shares a daughter, two, with Esmail. She has never revealed the name of either of her children.
The rare snap of her newborn comes a month after Rossum shared the ups and downs of new motherhood with her You’re Not You co-star Hilary Swank, 48.
The Million Dollar Baby actress welcomed twins in April with husband Philip Schneider.
‘Did you know that laughing also helps increase breast milk supply? My 3 A.M. pumping chats with @Emmy taught me that firsthand,’ the Oscar winner said, sharing a pic of the lactation support products that helped her.
Rossum’s husband is the creator of Robot Chicken.
They started dating in 2013, he proposed in 2015 and they married in 2017.
‘I happened to be in the bathtub when it happened,’ she told Chelsea Handler about the moment Sam proposed.
‘And then I realized that it was happening. And then I got out of the bathtub because I didn’t want the story to be that I was in the bathtub when it was happening.

‘And then I got cold as it was still going on, got back in the bathtub. It was a comedy of errors, but it all worked out,’ she said.
Rossum also kept her first pregnancy a secret. The actress made the surprise announcement via Instagram in late May 2021.

She captioned the post: ‘5.24.21 On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world.’
