He captured Australia’s heart when he placed runner-up to Guy Sebastian on Australian Idol back in 2003.

But now Shannon Noll has stunned fans with his remarkable body transformation in a recent Instagram post.

On Saturday, the 47-year-old posted a post-workout image with Shannon looking extremely buff.

He captioned the post, ‘I’ve been back in the gym 3 months now and I’m really enjoying it! Looking forward to ramping it up and getting my diet and routine on track! #yougottalift’.

Taking to the comments, fans expressed their shock at Noll’s radical body makeover.

‘Geez he looks like a million bucks!’ wrote one.

‘Whoah! Look at you wow looking amazing,’ marveled another fan of the Orange-born star.

Even Channel Seven star Grant Denyer weighed in, simply writing ‘Unit’ on Shannon’s post.

The post comes after Noll proudly introduced his budding rock star son Blake, 20, to the music industry.

Nollsie told Woman’s Day magazine he’s ‘really proud’ of his son, who is actively chasing his ‘dreams’ of being an artist.

‘He’s just starting out, so he’s not expecting big things at the moment, but he obviously has hopes and dreams. I’m really proud of him,’ he told the publication.

Nollsie has invited his son onto the stage several times during his gigs.

In January, the pair played at the Tamworth Music Festival and fans even demanded for ‘heartthrob’ Blake’s autograph.

‘I think the heartthrob days for me are long gone,’ Nollsie said with a laugh, adding that he is happily passing the baton onto his son.

Blake, an apprentice tradie, said he started playing guitar about a year ago and was always a little nervous to sing and perform in front of his famous dad.

‘Once I realised singing is more like a muscle, and it gets stronger and better the more you do it, I kept doing it in the car and started to get more belief in myself, and then I started learning guitar, because I knew I would start singing more if I played,’ he explained.

Nollsie now lives on acreage in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, with wife Rochelle and their four kids; Cody, 21, Blake, 20, Sienna, 16, and Colton, four.

Last year, he said that living in Sydney cost him gigs, which influenced his decision to move to his 100 acre property near Casino.

‘I was 500 metres inside greater Sydney last year and lost like 20 gigs out of it,’ he told The Daily Telegraph at the time.

‘People from Tasmania were flying over the top of me to replace me on gigs in Queensland so it was really tough,’ he added.
