Singer Tiffany says she’s fortunate she’s alive and well after a scary incident on the road last week on Nashville’s Interstate 65, in which an errant tire from a truck struck the car she was driving.

‘I’m extremely lucky and thankful because a major accident could have happened,’ the I Think We’re Alone Now artist, 51, told TMZ Wednesday.

A rep for the Norwalk, California native said that she was driving down Nashville’s Interstate 65 last week when a tire bounced through the lanes and smashed into the front of her vehicle.

Following the initial contact, the tire was wedged under the driver’s side of her vehicle, the outlet reported.

The singer, whose full name is Tiffany Darwish, is OK in the wake of the incident, as the car was considerably damaged.

The vehicle the Could’ve Been vocalist was driving had a torn transmission, ripped paneling and multiple dents, according to the outlet.

Tiffany became a music sensation in 1987 when her cover of the Tommy James and the Shondells track I Think We’re Alone Now hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks.

The singer, buoyed by the success of her tour The Beautiful You: Celebrating The Good Life Shopping Mall Tour ’87, had successful the follow-up track including Could’ve Been, which spent two weeks atop the charts in early 1988.

Other notable songs she had which reached the top 10 included 1988’s All This Time and I Saw Him Standing There. 

The singer made headlines in November of 2021 when she began cursing at fans during a show in Lake Park, Florida during her performance of her signature hit.

She said, ‘F*** you, guys. This is my hit … I’m gonna sing it right!’

She later said that she believed she had suffered from a panic attack in the incident.

‘I am so sorry, I panicked, it’s not often that I love my voice, and I got up there and absolutely had a panic attack, a meltdown,’ she said in a social media clip.

She said she was sorry to the fans over the incident and thanked them for their support.
