Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge broke down in tears as she shared a series of text messages from her terrified daughter Sophia Barney while her high school was placed under lockdown on Thursday.
To her mom’s horror, the teenager, who is currently a senior in high school, informed the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 55, that they were sheltering in place.
‘Not a drill,’ she texted Judge. ‘We’re being locked in the classes with the lights off.’
Sophia went on to inform her mother that she was ‘hiding right now’ and ‘heard police sirens’ but did not know if ‘there was a shooter.’
After the man was brought into custody, the TV personality shared an emotional video going into more detail about what happened.

‘I want you to know everything’s okay and they caught the guy. But, there was someone who came into my daughter’s school today [with a weapon],’ she revealed through tears. ‘The kids are traumatized. The teachers are traumatized.’
Judge went on to describe how students at her daughter’s school laid on the floor after barricading their classroom ‘door with bookshelves.’
‘One teacher handed out hammers. Another had a fire extinguisher ready to go another somebody,’ she said.
The wife of Eddie Judge said kids were crying out that they didn’t ‘want to die’ and as a parent, she felt ‘helpless’ reading Sophia’s messages.
‘There’s nothing you can do in this f**king world. I am so sick of it. I’m so sick of what’s going on. My daughter, now, doesn’t want to go back to school. It’s her senior year. This has got to stop,’ the mother-of-four concluded.
Upon sharing a screenshot of messages from her teen, Judge said these are texts ‘no parent wants to get.’
Judge shares Sophia with her ex-husband Simon Barney, who she was married from 1998 until 2011.
The scary ordeal comes less than two weeks after six people were killed at by a shooter at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.
The shooting marked the 129th mass shooting in the United States.

So far this year, there have been 13 school shootings, with six children killed in total and four adults or employees losing their lives.
It is the deadliest school shooting of 2023 and is one of just five in history which had a female gunman.
So far this year California, Texas and Florida have all had 12 mass shootings each this year, with Louisiana having 11, and Illinois suffering eight.
Pennsylvania has had seven, with Tennessee suffering six, including the latest tragedy according to the Gun Violence archive.
In total 63 children have been shot and killed in the US as a result of gun crime this year, with 128 injured.
Authorities have identified her as a 28-year-old woman from Nashville, though it is not currently clear exactly how she is linked to the school – if she is at all.
Law enforcement confirmed that three children and three adults were killed in the incident, as well as the shooter who was killed by police.
The female shooter had two assault-type rifles on her during the incident, and a handgun, entering the school from the side before making her way up to the first floor and fired multiple shots.
The Nashville incident is the third most deadly of the year, with the same number of people killed as the incident in Half Moon Bay on January 23.

A mass shooting in Monterey Park, California, is the worst of the year, which saw 12 people – including the shooter – killed.
Eight people were killed during a shooting on January 4 in Cedar City, Utah, with Michael Haight killing his wife, their five children and his mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself.
On Monday, a 25-year-old bank employee killed five and left eight injured at his workplace in Louisville, Kentucky.
There are about 120 guns for every 100 Americans, according to the Switzerland-based Small Arms Survey.
No other nation has more civilian guns than people, with around 44 percent of US adults living in a household with a gun.
