Elyse Knowles and her fiancé Josh Barker have welcomed their second child. 

The model shared a video to Instagram on Sunday announcing the arrival of the little one – but did not disclose if they had a boy or a girl. 

‘Zaii Barker. To love and protect. 18th May,’ Elyse wrote in her caption alongside a clip of the tot in a crib, explaining her baby was born a few days prior. 

The name Zaii is often used for baby girls, but some sources claim in Malaysian it means ‘little boy’, while other sources say it means ‘reign’ in Japanese. 

The former star of The Block announced that she was expecting her second child in January, sharing a series of photos of her growing baby bump.

The 30-year-old also posed alongside her son, Sunny, two, who she also shares with Josh. 

‘Very, very grateful for baby number two,’ the model wrote excitedly in her caption. 

She further explained she was ‘halfway’ through her pregnancy, and that Sunny was excited to become a big brother.

Elyse went on to document her growing baby bump on social media as her pregnancy progressed.

Josh and Elyse, who rose to fame when they were crowned winners of The Block in 2017, welcomed Sunny in February 2021. 

They announced the birth of their first child shortly after revealing they had secretly become engaged. 

The former reality stars moved from Melbourne to Byron Bay in 2019 seeking a quieter life. 

In May 2020 purchased a $2.3million beach house in the New South Wales coastal town, which they renovated.

Elyse revealed to Stellar magazine that she was crippled by anxiety following the birth of her son.

‘I got quite anxious leaving home for the first time. My heart was racing. I didn’t know if I could do it,’ she told the publication. 

‘Having [Sunny], having our dogs and getting out there… And Sunny was screaming in the car and it made me quite scared.’ 

‘I found it hard to breathe and I had to tell myself, “It’s fine, what could go wrong? Everyone has babies… you just have to go for it,” Elyse added.

‘It took a couple of times to feel confident. But I’m not going to lie, it was hard at the start.’

She also told Body+Soul Magazine that she and Josh avoid using mobile phones around Sunny. 

‘I don’t want him picking it up. I don’t want him playing on it at all,’ the media personality said. 

Josh and Elyse have been together for nine years, and engaged for two, but are yet to marry.
