Tori Spelling says she had to leave the home she was renting after mold was revealed, explaining months of bad health she and her family suffered as a result.
The Los Angeles native, 49, detailed the troubling series of events on Instagram Wednesday, saying she had to take the youngest two of her five children, Finn, 10, and Beau, six, to an urgent care medical facility near Thousand Oaks, California, as both were sick.
‘Here we are again at Urgent Care,’ the Beverly Hills, 90210 star said. ‘We’ve all been on this continual spiral of sickness for months. Sick. Get better. To get sick again.’
She said that while she initially thought ‘that’s what happens when you have young kids in school’ who ‘just continually bring sicknesses home,’ she began to suspect otherwise given the circumstances.
‘When it gets to the point where they are at home sick more than being in school we had to reassess what was going on,’ said Spelling, who played the role of Donna Martin on the hit 90s series.

She continued: ‘Kids will be kids but when you have your youngest (10 and 6) so sick they are sleeping all day and say they feel dizzy even standing I knew something bigger was going on.’
Spelling, who is also mother to kids Liam, 16, Stella, 14, and Hattie, 11, with husband Dean McDermott, 56, said that she contacted a mold specialist ‘who came out and discovered extreme mold in our home.’
Spelling said that ‘the pieces all started to fall into place’ in regards to the illnesses the family continued to suffer living in a home with moldy conditions.
‘Has anyone ever been thru Mold Infections?’ she said. ‘You just keep getting sick, one infection after another. Respiratory infections. Extreme allergy like symptoms too and like my poor Finn skin rashes as well.’
The daughter of late TV producer Aaron Spelling said her son Finn had a fever that hit 103 and was dealing with strep throat as result of the mold-related infection.
‘We now know that when the house was labeled a health hazard and not live able that wording was FACT,’ she said. ‘We now GET IT! It’s hard to just uproot a huge family especially in midst of all feeling so sick and in bed. But, we now will vacate the home asap.’
Spelling said she and her family were seeking accommodations via a hotel, Airbnb or Vrbo home until they ‘can even grasp what to do.’
‘We are just renters so looks like moving is in our eminent future as well,’ she said. ‘Grateful we have renters insurance. We’d be lost how to tackle this without.’

Spelling was also critical of the public school district that presides over the schools her kids attend, saying officials ‘repeatedly’ did not believe they were ill ‘as they’ve been continually.’
She added, ‘Just get them in school right? Has anyone been thru Mold sickness? The deeper dive I do online sadly I see how common this is.’
