Rock star Travis Barker’s teenage daughter Alabama has come under fire from social media users after sharing a new TikTok video of herself rapping along to her new single.
The 17-year-old daughter of Travis and his ex Shanna Moakler, who was born and raised in Calabasas, California, could be seen mouthing along to lyrics such as ‘We ain’t together, when I’m wit’ him he know I’m the realest / I ain’t no opposition, all these b***hes in their feelings’ in the clip posted on Monday.
She appeared with a full face of makeup and showcased a vibrant orange wig, which featured a blonde streak, and fans were quick to note that the aspiring musician’s vocals and accent appeared to have changed when she began to rap.
One bemused viewer commented on Twitter: ‘I don’t understand how white girls be rich and decide to do this? the way I would be at a pool spending money somewhere like what.’

Another person tweeted: ‘I don’t know why Alabama Barker don’t just rap about being rich and growing up in luxury or something’.
Others were left surprised by her choice of musical direction given that her father is famously the drummer for iconic punk rock band, Blink 182 as one joked: ‘girl yo daddy is Travis Barker not Travis Scott.’
‘Her dad is Travis Barker.. how’d this happen???’ one wrote.
Another stated: ‘Travis barker produced this [shocked face emoji].’
One Twitter user sarcastically commented: ‘The girls are really getting good at their black girl cosplay. Like they are really committing!’
Others were less than impressed by the quality of her music as another wrote: ‘You can buy a lot of things but you cannot buy a flow.’
‘Her hair is really pretty that’s about it that I can comment on right now,’ one TikTok user wrote, while another commented: ‘I can’t do the identity crisis thing anymore ppl’.
One fan simply asked: ‘Why is she like this?’

Another commented: ‘[Not gonna lie] the wig color is a good a** color, but it would be cool if she didn’t do that thing where she spends the next 10 years copying Black women from the south.’
Some fans noted that she appeared to have a similar look and style to other white female rappers.
‘Who ordered Iggy Azalea from Wish,’ one person joked on Twitter, while another commented: ‘Bhad Bhabie was all I could think of watching this’.
Others had praise for the reality star and when one follower compared her to Justin Bieber, Alabama replied: ‘Welll shi he beyond talented’.
Elsewhere in the clip she could be heard rapping, ‘Listen, who the f**k y’all talking to/ I’m Alabama, get to know me, I might spazz on you/ I’m walking in and 20 b***hes staring yeah I know I’m cool,’ before going on to sing in the chorus.
Alabama first gave fans a teaser of her rapping skills during a TikTok livestream in April, where she previewed her original track, Dime in the Rough.

But after starting to receive a negative response to the track, she posted it a second time, and told one commenter: ‘I don’t care what people think that have no motivation and [are] talentless.’
The backlash comes after Alabama was forced to send a message to online critics of her makeup practices.
The used TikTok to air her grievances toward her online haters.
Alabama – who’s an ambassador for Pretty Little Thing – wrote over a clip of herself laughing: ‘When Kathryn with 3 kids, only waterline liner, 4 different colored blonde [hair] & Toms shoes talks about my makeup or age.’
The snippet also showed the influencer mouthing, ‘I’ll tell you what you look like, but you won’t like it.’
Barker is often criticized by trolls who think she dresses and acts too mature for her age.

Someone else offered, ‘I think people are just concerned about the over sexualization of youth in Hollywood/Los Angeles culture.’
To that, the blonde makeup mogul replied, ‘Well, I’m doing great thank u.’
Barker has an older brother, Landon, who is 19. And she’s also younger sister to Atiana De La Hoya, 24, who her mom Shanna shares with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
The young woman regularly entertains 1.7 million followers on Instagram and she boasts 3.6 million fans on TikTok.
In March 2021 Alabama showed off her makeup prowess as she applied foundation to her dad’s face using KVD Beauty’s Good Apple Skin-Perfecting Foundation Balm.
